Coin Magic

The term ‘Coin Magic’ is commonly used when describing a magician that performs magic tricks with one or several coins. Because coins are small, coin magic is considered close-up magic or table magic, as the audience must be close to the performer to see the tricks. Stage magicians generally don’t perform coin magic, but they will sometimes perform using large coins. Close up magicians sometimes use video projectors so the audience can see the magic better. Coin magic is highly respected among magicians, and is well received with any audience. Coin magic includes productions, vanishes, transformations, transpositions, teleportations, penetrations, restorations, levitations and mental. A simple coin magic trick might involve borrowing a coin, making it vanish, then revealing it unexpectedly and returning it to the owner. More complex coin magic tricks may involve multiple coins, substituting coins, and even using other objects in addition to the coins.
